The Missing Ticket

"Hey, do you know that Jay Chou, your idol, will be performing at a concert tonight?" asked May excitedly. "Of course! I have already bought the ticket!" I said proudly. "Wow! You are always the first one to get news about Jay Chou!"

I went home and took my time to bathe and change my clothes; I took out all the Jay Chou albums. I looked at myself in the mirror, "Great!" I said to myself. I opened my drawers to take the ticket out. "Oh my God!" I could not find my ticket. I was dumbfounded. I searched high and low for my ticket. I still could not find it. I was angry and frustrated. I threw my clothes on the floor. I looked at my watch. It was 8:00 p.m. The show would start at 8:15 p.m. I sat on the chair feeling extremely sad and angry.

"Ring, Ring, Ring!" The telephone rang loudly. It was my best friend, May. She told me that I had left the ticket at her house and her younger brother accidentally tore it up. She added that she had two more tickets for the concert. What was more exciting was that we could see Jay and the other celebrities backstage. She was waiting for me downstairs then! I rushed down and her father took us to the concert.

"Wow! So cool!" I took out my album for Jay Chou to autograph, and I took a picture with my idol. I was so lucky. I thought to myself, "I should thank May's brother for tearing up my ticket!"
