The Missing Ticket

After school, Tai and I went to Tiong Bahru Plaza to buy the tickets for a movie. We bought tickets for the 8:30 p.m. show. When I went home, I put the ticket in my wallet and forgot all about it. Then, I helped my mum to cook my favourite chicken drumsticks.

When we had finished cooking chicken drumsticks, it was 7 p.m. I rummaged my chest of drawers only to find that the ticket was not there. I started to think about where I had kept the ticket. I was dumbfounded. I searched thoroughly for the ticket but I could not find it. I turned my bedroom topsy-turvy while searching for the ticket.

I was angry and frustrated when the telephone rang. Mum told me to pick up the telephone. I answered it. Tai was at the other end of the line. He asked if I knew the time. I looked at the clock; it was 8 p.m. Tai told me to take my dinner and go to the cinema immediately. I put the telephone down and started eating my chicken drumstick. I was thinking about where my ticket was and I decided to bring extra money to buy another ticket. I went to Tiong Bahru Plaza and Tai was already there. Tai asked me if I had brought the ticket.

I was so embarrassed that I took out my wallet to look for my money. When I was about to look into my wallet, Tai snatched it from me. Tai looked for the ticket and he found it in my wallet. I was so surprised that my jaw dropped. Tai and I went into the cinema to watch the movie, "The Myth". When we came out of the cinema, it was 10:30 p.m. Then we went back home. I was so glad that I had found the ticket.
