Animals of A Tropical Rainforest

"To be classified as a rain forest, a forest must have a closed canopy, in which the treetops, or crowns, touch each other, creating a shaded forest interior. In addition, temperature and rainfall must be high and relatively even throughout the year."
Encarta Encyclopedia

Tropical rainforests stay green throughout the year. Most tropical rainforests lie near the equator ... in Africa, Asia, and Central and South America. The largest tropical rainforest is the Amazon rainforest, covering about a third of South America.
